Event Description:
This seminar will cover recent developments in state employment laws.  This has been an active year in California – no surprise for Golden State employers – with new rules and demands for employers throughout local industries.

We will cover issues such as:
  • Amended national origin discrimination rules
  • Workplace safety changes such as postings and heat illness guidelines
  • Local minimum wage changes
  • “De minimus” time and occasional off-duty work tasks
  • Wage statements
  • Bonus and overtime calculation
We’ll also look forward to changes on the horizon as 2019 approaches.  As always, there will be time for discussion, real-world examples, and questions.

The presenter, Richard Rybicki, is an employment attorney who advises management on labor and employment-law issues throughout Northern California.
